Hourglass Figures and Moonlight
At a show that commenced at 10pm, the king of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, flooded the steel and glass Grand Palais with moonlight.
Chanel Autumn/Winter - Silhouettes are reminiscent of Edwardian and turn of the century fashion, although assembled in a modern interpretation. A stunning collection with classical Chanel elements and a tongue in cheek nod to old school "Chanel".

Swedish Illustrator Cassandra Rhodin
I just stumbled across this illustrator's work. It is so NOW I nearly turned myself inside out. Rhodin uses a confident combination of ink and water colour, to create predominantly monochrome and subtle coloured work. There is an ambivalence in the character of the faces that seem to embody the french quality of nonchalance that borders on arrogance.
The illustrations hark back to the early 70's fashion illustrations, with influences from the 1940's. If you blended Coco Chanel, Twiggy and the Olsen Twins I think that this is what you would come up with.
